Youth Initiatives
Are you wondering what youth initiatives is all about? Youth Initiatives is a cross-community youth work project which aims to awaken hope, inspire initiative, and to develop the analytic, research, and self-expression skills that young people need to think critically about their world and to engage actively in U.S. democracy. The main focus of this initiative is to utilize music, literature, and classic film within a collegiate environment to begin preparing for their post-secondary educational years. The components are designed to advance opportunities and resources for youth through initiatives for school reform and after-school programs.
Perhaps no single group in society is as marginalized and vilified, blamed and even feared, as the young people who are fueling the future today. Despite falling juvenile crime rates, the perception remains that young people continue to be a threat to U.S. society. In the education and criminal justice systems, such thinking has led to increased zero-tolerance policies, which have had detrimental effects on the most vulnerable youths. Yet young people are an enormous resource to society for seeking solutions to pressing social issues and creating social change.
Youth Initiatives works to integrate low-income youth into the democratic process by supporting strategies that develop advocacy, self-expression, leadership, team building, and critical-thinking skills. The program’s key strategies in this regard are youth-generated media and formal debate. In addition, the Bison Group is a partner in a national initiative, Achievement Matters with the National Urban League, which seeks to improve education by restructuring low-performing middle to high schools and developing small, effective learning environments.
Bison makes an impact during a summer leadership youth experience. Bison’s introduced its Achievement Matters Experience; a program that facilitates excellence thru character education to the state of Delaware in August 2006. The program expressed a solution-centric youth training program that was successfully integration into the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League's "MWUL's" own Achievement Matters system. The program was designed to support 12 months of programming beginning with a military style leadership camp for students within the city limits of Wilmington, DE.
Progressing Corporate Involvement into the Future

We support ideas that encourage societal developments, as well as various national organizations who share the mission of helping businesses become community leaders. This is not your traditional youth training program, as it presents a non-traditional approach to learning using strategies from within the United States Marine Corps. The approach is simple, yet complex: Framing the future one child at a time! See what happens when organizations collaborate to employ a proactive approach for mentorship within the lives of tomorrow’s leaders.
Above and Beyond Initiative
Looking to integrate social solutions within the community? Look no further; Bison’s Above and Beyond Initiative, a four year project, is designed for specializing in the development of social ventures. The initiative supports government and governmental agencies, foundation, educators, faith-based and nonprofit organizations, policy makers and students in learning about sustainable development and citizenship for community youth using the finest military strategies available for meeting this objective.

Bison’s Leadership Ventures
Bison’s Leadership Ventures are experiential learning opportunities for clients, community leaders, students, and managers who are interested in attending a Bison Leadership Challenge and Advanced Management Executive Program. Co-sponsored by industry and business leaders, the leadership ventures include programs that range from experience derived and designed from the United States Marine Corps Air and Ground Campaign, otherwise known as the “MAGTAF.”
The ventures establish a rigorous leadership & team building training regiment for the organizational community unlike any offered in the marketplace. The experience focuses on five major segments to engage the ultimate truth of the individual and teaches the importance for building leadership value for the whole team. The training series offers a very unique business programming protocol, contributing a multiplicity of discipline, goal orientation, and leadership & team building initiatives. All training segments are directed toward a pragmatic approach to successful governance and multiple levels of lifetime achievement.
Concentration: Developed as a leadership & team building educational program, Bison’s Leadership Ventures stands by its mission: “To improve overall organizational performance through critical thinking settings while shaping the future for extreme excellence.” The experience promotes a strong core value that teaches candidates lessons of self-discipline, team unity and the essentials of being a dynamic leader. Here, participants undergo a development of personal values where character is exemplified to transform them into responsible members of a team unit.
The program instructors believe that participants are forged in a furnace of shared discipline and rigors of academic and physical training. This intense experience creates bonds of comradeship and standards of conduct so strong that participants will let nothing stand in their way throughout life’s journey.
Task Assertions: (i) Leadership and coordination of comprehensive instruction delivering excellence in training; (ii) Improvement of best practice; (iii) Responsibility of individual appreciation to the crucial role of team leadership for achieving and establishing superior processes, and (iv) An aiding respect and importance of values acknowledged through Protocol, Process and Profitability teams, organizations, and an individual’s future life experiences.

Women’s Initiatives
The Bison Group launched its Leadership Ventures for Women. This dynamic program is poised for adding a refreshed breadth to the women's leadership initiative. It is an intensive, individualized program designed by and for women in developed leadership roles and executive C-suites. In today’s turbulent business world, some women find themselves in complex environments where the formulation and execution of business strategy are more critical than ever before. The Leadership Ventures for Women presents cutting edge and unique content taught by faculty who are renowned in their field. Participants will learn techniques from the “elevator affect” to understand the competitive structure of an industry and their own position in the industry. Moving up is said to be a promotion, a rise in status or success; moving down a loss and sideways a lateral move, status quo. The program incorporates an introduction to military and corporate experience and strategy to provide the tools for women at all levels to get off at the right floor in life and for moving your career in the right direction.
During the Leadership Ventures for Women you will learn to:
